WASHINGTON, DC—After more than 30 years spent hiding in the Los Angeles underground as wanted criminals, the members of the crack commando unit Alpha Team, commonly known as the A-Team, were cleared of all charges brought against them by the U. Kenny Moore Womens Jersey .S. military, an army official announced Monday. Above: The A-Team circa 1984. In 1972, we arrested the members of the A-Team for a crime they swore they didnt commit, Gen. Stephen Lupo said. They broke out of our maximum-security stockade, and from that moment forth, I thought of nothing but their recapture. However, a recent audit of their file has revealed that the arrest of the Alpha Force members was made in error. The U.S. military deeply regrets the mistake. According to Lupo, the A-Team members exoneration will occur before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces on Aug. 24. Just hours after Lupos announcement was made, Cpt. H.M. Howlin Mad Murdock, the A-Teams pilot, resurfaced to speak with journalist Amy Allen, who often reported on the mercenaries charitable acts. For decades, weve been forced to live in the shadows, Murdock said. Somehow, we always found a way to help people who had nowhere else to turn, but we operated under the constant threat of recapture. Finally, the nightmare is over. Added Murdock: Owooohh, Im a little doggie! Ow ow owooohhhh! Murdock and the surviving members of the team—the classically handsome Lt. Templeton Arthur Face Peck and the Mohawk-sporting mechanic, Sgt. Bosco B.A. Baracus—said their joy over the announcement was tempered only by regret that their de-facto leader, Col. John Hannibal Smith, was not alive to see their names cleared. Somewhere up there, Hannibal is smiling down on us—maybe disguised as a giant crocodile or a wealthy diamond merchant, Peck said. He loved it when a plan come together. More than any of us, he would have enjoyed seeing the look on [Col. Roderick] Deckers face when our innocence was announced, Peck continued. Decker hated Hannibal ever since they served together back in Nam. Decker never could stand his cocky attitude. Smith was gunned down in front of a Las Vegas casino in 1994. The A-Team members said that, although they presume the armys offer of freedom is legitimate, they have taken precautions. We formed a backup plan in case things turn out to be on the jazz, Peck said, using the teams code phrase for a troublesome situation. Murdocks gonna perch a helicopter on top of the courtroom. B.A. found a broken Howitzer in a junkyard, got it working again, and got it mounted in our van. We also have a whole team of troubled teens B.A. befriended and taught valuable lessons. They placed explosives throughout the courtroom and along our subterranean escape route. If need be, theyll blow that courtroom apart. Peck admitted that their escape plan might be too crazy to work, acknowledging the possibility that he will be punched in the face during the escape. He also noted that stacks of cardboard boxes might break the falls of the military personnel thrown into the air by the A-Teams explosives. Just to be safe, I romanced a beautiful court stenographer and convinced her to smuggle some smoke bombs in with her, Peck said. All in a days work. Adarius Bowman reeled in three touchdown passes as the Eskimos came away with a 27-11 victory over the expansion Ottawa Redblacks on Friday. The Eskimos improved to 3-0 on the season under rookie head coach Chris Jones and 2-0 on their home turf at Commonwealth Stadium. By contrast, Edmonton only won one home game last year and were 1-9 in their first 10 games last season on their way to a disappointing 4-14 campaign. Jones said it was an impressive performance by Bowman, if not a flawless one. "He did a pretty good job, he had one drop tonight, which I feel was more about concentration -- he tried to run before he caught the football -- but he did some very nice things and made a good catch late," Jones said of Bowman, who leads the CFL with four touchdown catches on the season. "It was good to have him. Anytime you have a guy thats hot, you try to put the football in his hands." Bowman said it was important that he bounce back after a poor performance the week before against Hamilton. "I went into this game just working on being more consistent all around," he said. "Thats the game of football, youve got to be able to keep your head in it." The Redblacks are still searching for their first win this season, sitting at 0-2 since the CFL returned to Ottawa. "It was disappointing," said Redblacks head coach Rick Campbell. "It was a defensive game for a long time and going back and forth and we were hanging in there. We just came up a few plays short. Its always tough to lose. This is two weeks in a row that we have been up at the half and havent been able to get a win. Its a long season though. "Its tough right now, but there is a lot of football still to be played. As long as we continue to get better, I think well be competitive." The game started quietly, with the only scoring in the first quarter coming from a punt single by Eskimos kicker Grant Shaw. The Redblacks went the entire first quarter without an offensive first down. Ottawa scored midway through the second quarter as Chevon Walker got loose on a handoff from quarterback Henry Burris and blazed 65 yards into the end zone to put the Redblacks up 7-1. Edmonton got into scoring range late in the second but Shaws 23-yard field goal attempt at the buzzzer was wide to make it 7-2 Ottawa at the half. Marvin Harrison Colts Jersey. The Eskimos woke up to start the third quarter, marching down the field on their first possession before QB Mike Reilly found Bowman for a 41-yard pass-and-run touchdown. That play was followed by a single on the ensuing kickoff to put Edmonton in front 10-7. Shaw added another punt single seven minutes into the third. Ottawa wasnt getting full value for its field goal attempts as well, as Brett Maher missed a 36-yarder with just over a minute to play in the third for another single to make it 11-8 Edmonton heading into the final frame. The Eskimos added to their lead just 52 seconds into the fourth quarter as Reilly hooked up with his favourite target on the night again, passing to Bowman, who made a beautiful one-handed catch for a 30-yard TD strike. The Edmonton defence came up big three minutes into the fourth as they stuffed a third-and-one gamble at the Ottawa 25-yard-line to turn the ball over on downs. The Esks made the most of the opportunity as Reilly rolled out on a play fake and passed to Bowman for a one-yard TD and a 25-8 lead. The Redblacks chipped back with a 34-yard Maher field goal with five-and-a-half minutes remaining. Edmonton got a safety with two minutes left when Marcus Howard sacked Burris in the end zone. The Eskimos return to action next Thursday in Winnipeg, while the Redblacks have their first home game in their newest incarnation next Friday against Toronto. Notes: The Edmonton Eskimos came into the game with a 37-21-2 all-time record against Ottawa CFL franchisesa Ottawa had a lineup laced with former Eskimos players and coaches. The eight former Edmonton players in the lineup for the Redblacks included Marcus Henry, T.J. Hill, Justin Capicciotti, Alexander Krausnick, Matt Carter, Dobson Collins, Brandon Lang, and Carlton Mitchell, while the six coaches who spent time in Edmonton before moving on to Ottawa are head coach Rick Campbell, Mark Nelson, Marcus Crandell, Travis Moore, Leroy Blugh and Jordan Maksymica The Eskimos were without the services of star linebacker J.C. Sherritt for the second time this season after suiting up in their win against Hamilton last Friday.
